The cutest most quaint café/resto ! I recently went on a solo trip to the saguenay/tadoussac area and i found that many of the places to eat in tadoussac had rude staff (except for select few) and pricey menus for what they were offering. This was not the case here ! They were so so friendly, a special thank you to Abigael for her great service and recommendations! The food was so good, made with love, with perfect portions. I had the bison curry and the seafood chowder and both were delightful. I would say it is worth the trip if youre staying in tadoussac, its only about 20 minutes from town. And worth stopping by if youre just passing through, or are staying outside of town.
We did not stay here but had lunch. We were going for the whale cruise and were really hungry. There are some eating options around here - however there was a lot of construction work going on and this was the only one accessible. The food and drinks were really good and I thoroughly enjoyed the salad- thought it was one of the best I've had. It pleased all my taste buds - sweet, sour, salt and the balance was great. Don't ask me what salad it was as it came with my sandwich. It had the normal green stuff,sweet papaya and I think sweet raspberries and strawberry. Excellent!!! Portion was not to bad but I thought the prices were high. Then again it's a remote tourist location. The service was great and timely and they were friendly too. The last thing you want is a grumpy host / hostess when you are hungry. Beautiful view too from the patio
We really enjoyed Chez Sam. We stayed for a night and we also ate here. Staff were very friendly, helped us with doing our laundry. Our dinner was delicious, we took different salads and all were extremely tasty with some nice pairing of tastes. The staff present in the morning for the breakfast was equally kind and super nice. We needed to hang out a bit, so we got coffee refills :) PS: is there anything I would recommend is offering espresso, probably all European travellers would enjoy that!
This is a must visit. My husband and I came here for dinner with our 6-year old son. Genevieve, our server, was so kind and generous. She made my 6-year old feel so special. And the food was wonderful. My son theoughoughly enjoyed the tourtiere and my husband said the cassoulet was one of the best meals he's had. As a vegan, I appreciated the effort and love that was taken to make the ratouille. Can't wait to stay here in the future. Great food and ambience.
